I've only had a few hours spare this week to devote to Destiny 2, but so far, I'm really enjoying it.
It's an improved version of Destiny 1 in every aspect. (My only real complaints with D1 were: not a lot of content unless you're a season pass-holder, and having to play with a PS4 controller. Both of these don't apply at the moment because I haven't seen all the content and I'm using a keyboard and mouse.)
Music: Mostly really good, especially during the
story/cinematic moments. I was a bit dubious about Marty O'Donnell not doing the music after
his spat with Bungie but... so far so good.
Audio: Again, all the guns, explosions etc sound great. Especially with a headset on.
Visuals: Excellent. Draw-distance seems a lot better than D1 and PC performance seems very good across the board.
Gameplay: If there's one thing Bungie do extremely well, it's FPS handling. It's damn fun to shoot stuff (as it should be) and it's engaging. Bungie clearly learned a lot from their Halo games.
I can't speak for you Warlocks and Hunters, but being a Titan is great fun!
As for my absence, I've been mad-busy these past few months with:
-a new job (2 in-fact)
-getting home from said-job usually results in me being knackered
-moving house in the next week or 2
-people still email me regarding their Exile, Epoch and A3 servers... so I help them a little (had an email regarding A3 Epoch 1.0.0 this morning in fact!)
-social shit such as visiting friends and family
-it's getting colder, that's the prime-time for fishing for cod (yes, seriously.)
