Allrighty peeps i was wondering since ARMA 3 overpoch is now out wether you guys wanted to start up a new server or not. Just a thought since it has chernarus,panthera and two new maps and a whole lot of new stuff just thought id swing it by you guys... if so im more than happy to contribute to help make it happen.

I'll look into the setup when I get home. But it doesn't look easy.
The CCG guys are mad-good at this stuff and the majority of it appears to be their own custom setup.
(Custom files, custom launcher, custom database, etc.)

Both SurvivalServers and GTXGaming only offer ArmA 3 Vanilla, Altis Life and Wasteland.
I'll have a dig through the GTX (& Epoch) forums when I get in an speak to Harkness on Steam.

But for now, I'd recommend joining a CCG server. They really know their stuff over. They keep a close eye on things are considerably better at the modding/coding stuff than I'll ever be.

I would play it for sure.

What does everyone think about the Exile mod? Seems very well designed. I don't know if it's any easier to adapt to different mods.

Not much happening in the mod yet from what i seen, no ai or missions.

Adding AI is possible.

The devs seem very active and stream on Twitch quote often to show us what they're fixing and get live feedback. Patch notes are also updated frequently. ( www.exilemod.com/forums/topic/wip-change-logs/ )

The biggest problem is getting people to stick their hands in their pockets for server costs

In order to draw players in, you need a high player cap server. A 50 player server is too small (as we saw with the Altis Life server). 60+ would be good... in my opinion.
A 60 player Exile server (from gtxgaming.co.uk) is £50 a month.

I will. I like gaming as a group with you lot. I might stream it too, for the lulz.

I have no problem with that, but I dont think that we have enough members that are interested in playing this mod at the moment.

Aren't Rabski, Rover, and a few others playing it?

Server would be £20 for 60 players for first month.
