Electronic Arts has announced the next PC game to be made available for free through Origin's On the House program: Zuma's Revenge.
The 2009 PopCap game can now be downloaded free of charge through Origin. It's the 2009 follow-up to the original Zuma, one of PopCap's earliest successes. This is the full version of the game and is yours to keep forever, as with past On the House games
Being a casual game from six years ago, its system requirements are not especially high--odds are if you have a computer from this century, you'll be able to play.
Zuma's Revenge takes the place of Ultima VIII: Pagan, which itself followed games like Syndicate (the original) and Dragon Age: Origins. You can download it here.
Batman: Arkham Knight publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment had known about the issues plaguing the PC version for "months," but decided to focus on the console versions, according to purported inside sources.
Speaking to Kotaku under the conditions of anonymity, sources said to be familiar with the game's development said the publisher knew about the various bugs, glitches, framerate, and resolution issues for months in advance of its release.
The PC edition of Batman: Arkham Knight appears to be carrying noticeable bugs and glitches, especially for those using AMD graphics cards, with message boards lighting up as players report numerous problems.
Chief among the PC version's technical issues are sporadic freezes, frame-rate stutters, and audio glitches. Some players had expected issues after Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment adjusted its system requirements, leaving with it a warning about AMD compatibility problems.
