Tips for customizing Windows 10's Start menu

Windows 10 Launch

Windows 10’s release marked the return of the Start Menu, and what a glorious return it was. Desktop users could say goodbye to the confusing parallel of the Start Screen and the desktop and finally navigate programs and folders with an interface built for the mouse. Windows 10’s Start is a big improvement over Windows 8’s, for sure, but if you love the Start Menu of old, you may still have some quibbles with this new implementation.

Click-bait article with sensationalized headline for added drama.
The TOS in question actually refers to the Microsoft/Windows Store in Windows 10.... not Windows 10 itself.
It basically means, if there's a bug in the store that lets you get games for free (when unintended) they can remove what you helped yourself to and it's tough shit. No you can't keep the freebie, no you're not entitled to anything.

It doesn't mean if you pirate Fallout 4 Microsoft are going to delete/disable your cracked .exe or .dll files.

Next Battlefield 4 DLC Features New Nighttime Map

After teasing the possibility, EA and DICE have revealed the next DLC pack for Battlefield 4--yes, 4, notHardline--and its focus is on nighttime combat, hence the name: Night Operations.

While we don't yet know everything it consists of, we have gotten our first look at a new map that's set at night, and it certainly looks intriguing. Named Zavod: Graveyard Shift, it's based on existing BF4 map Zavod 311. Despite taking inspiration from 311, Graveyard Shift is described in a blog post as a "new map that brings with it several improvements and tweaks to allow for more stealthy and tactical gameplay."

Windows 10 Out Now

The day has arrived. Windows 10, Microsoft's latest operating system and the follow-up to the controversial Windows 8 (there was no Windows 9), launched on Wednesday--and you can probably get it for free.

GameSpot sister site CNET has a full review of Windows 10. Editor Nate Ralph wrote, "Microsoft gets it right."

"Windows 10 delivers a refined, vastly improved vision for the future of computing with an operating system that's equally at home on tablets and traditional PCs," he said.

As part of a special offer, Windows 7 and 8 users can upgrade to Windows 10 for free for the first year after launch. In other Windows 10 gaming news, Microsoft recently published a set of instructions for how PC owners can start playing the "whole new" version of Minecraft for Windows 10 starting today.

Check out this page for detailed instructions on how to upgrade to Windows 10.

Windows 10 features an all-new Xbox gaming app, Cortana integration, and a new browser called Edge. These are just some of the changes; be sure to read CNET's full review for everything you need to know.

Windows 8, released in October 2012, was controversial in part because of its touch-focused tile design that was dramatically different to Windows 7. Microsoft addressed these criticisms with frequent--and substantial updates--including Windows 8.1. The company isn't starting over with Windows 10, but Microsoft appears to be taking a more measured approach with its latest OS.
